Excerpt from "The Cleverlys Show" - 'Rhythm Rangers'
Chris Miller is a native of the Mississippi gulf coast, and his vocal and keyboard ability is legendary in that region. Chris is a seasoned entertainer who has regularly appeared at Caesar's Palace, The Stardust, The Frontier, and other major showplaces in Las Vegas. He has performed in almost every state, as well as internationally, in such countries as Norway and Sweden. As a tribute to his singing ability, this multi-faceted entertainer was also featured as guest vocalist for several concerts with the University of South Alabama Stage Band.
Eric Marrero comes from Mobile Alabama. A graduate of Tampa University, he was a member of the United States Air Force Band at Tampa, FL. Eric sings and plays trumpet, sax, keyboards, bass, and guitar, has performed in concerts with such names as; Reba McEntire, Mel Tillis, Marie Osmond, Anita Bryant, and jazz-great Maynard Ferguson.
Eric's magic and ventriloquism talents really sparkle at a Cleverlys appearance as he recruits members of the audience to come up and perform alongside him.
And of course there are always a few surprises from Eric's ventriloquism sidekick, "Willie Mildew".
Rounding out The Cleverlys is Jerry Powell on guitar and vocals. Jerry, originally from North Alabama, is a veteran of many years on the road in various bands playing many styles of music. He is a former recording artist with CBS/Epic Records, and staff songwriter with several major music publishers. He has an independent production company, and writes and creates commercial music projects.
You may soon see The Cleverlys in their own syndicated TV series, "Off The Beaten Path", as well as the motion picture, "West From North Goes South", starring Phyllis Diller, Tina Louise, Morris Day, LaWanda Page, Larry Linville, and Anthony James.
